but, isn't a bandmaster a 5E7, and the pro is 5E5A? they're just the same size, but not the same power/circuit, right?

What about the Tweed super, its a 5F4 is it the same as the pro but different speakers?

The 5F4, 5E5-A, and 5E7 are nearly identical. There are differences in the output transformers (5F4 and 5E7 use a 4-Ohm OT; 5E5-A uses an 8-Ohm), differences in the global negative feedback, differences in local negative feedback, and differences in tube complement (5E5-A uses two 12AY7s). Mostly, though, the difference is about speakers.

My preference, by a large margin, is the tweed pro. I've owned a superior bandmaster type (Clark Tyger), maybe the best sound out of any single amp I've played, and the Pro is still my favorite. It's the 15" speaker. That's what works for me. Speaker format makes all the difference here. I've heard vintage Supers that were just amazing. So if you like multiple 10s, that's a very strong candidate for you.
