Gosh, I haven't been here for awhile...due to
health issues. To the point. I'm gonna have to sell
my Tweed Champ from 1958. The inevitable money dance. I really have no idea what I should ask for it. It's in very good shape, sounds great.
One caveat, no speaker. I figured most people would want to replace the six inch speaker with
something else, (as I had planned on doing).
I had been using a small monitor with two five inch speakers, so that's where my "sounds great" comment originates. I'll put up some photos soon, I know here if there's no pictures,
it doesn't exist! Please, I'm asking for real assistance, not "sell it for a dollar" snark.
Thanks for any clarity you can steer my way.
Don

Just check the completed listings on Ebay. There is a '55 that went for 1284.00 and a '60 that went for 905.00. There was a '56 with an asking price of 1400.00 that did not sell. So there's your market value range.

FWIW Putting an old alnico speaker in may get you closer to the top number. You might want to email Muchxs for a speaker suggestion. He knows those "sleeper" speakers that can be had reasonably.

Thanks for your advice all. I'll try and find a speaker for it. Yes, there was a 6 inch speaker in it that i took
out when it became shredded, ( not from my playing : } ~), and the speaker frame wandered off! I'll take some pics this weekend. Thanks again, I'm always heartened by the assistance of Telefans here! Don

Yeah, if you stick a Jensen C8R replacement in that sweetie, she'll bring 1K to maybe 1.5K. I have a '59 5F1 and they sound sooooo sweet ! Cheers !

I sold my 57 Fender Champ to Buffalo Bros.
It there now for $1,500.
It's a little beauty.
Thank you all for your help and suggestions,
unfortunately, I was not able to capitalize on them.
