Tweed RIs started in 2009 (small logo/badge) and then again in 2016 (larger logo/badge)

I never noticed until today but it looks like the 2009s had a narrow top (sides) and wider bottom and the 2016's were regular rectangle shape (sides again) this right?

If that's the case which shape is vintage correct?

It’d help if the photos were from the same angle. I’m guessing the dimensions are available online somewhere. I’m pretty sure angled baffles are typical for Fender Tweeds.

I looked at some vintage (50s & 60s) Champ ads on Reverb. The listings that showed side view had the angled baffle shape.

It's just the different photos of the 2 amps. The 57 Custom Champ is angled the same as the previous reissue, which is like originals. Look at Sweetwater's listing. Lots of good photos and opportunity to rotate the view 360 degrees.

I clearly remember watching a buddy who works at a vintage guitar shop packing up two old tweed champs into one box. They would only fit properly when the angled baffles were nested in a yin/yang fashion. The originals definitely had an angled front including the speaker baffle.

Retrofret has the BEST pics. George Aslaender takes most of them.

He can play a harp-guitar too!

    Regarding the pics,
Is bending the tube socket pins risky? Looks like a good idea for easier access. I haven't noticed that before in my very limited experience.

I'm sure that 56 is a nice enough amp but it is WAAYYY overpriced IMO. Looks like every single cap has been replaced plus one new resistor. Only one old tube(6V6) - rest are "modern" EH and Sovtek and the speaker looks like a modern Jensen with ceramic magnet not alnico.

Seems to me not all that much "vintage" left in that amp........

Also, note the stated dimensions say the depth is 6-1/2" - I assume that is depth @ top and the depth at bottom is likely 7-1/2" to 8".

Right: I had a 57 custom champ from 2017 I think, and the cab was angled.
