Here is a string bender I developed. I call it the Twang Bender. You can raise 3 strings or any combination of the 3. I currently have set up to raise the E to F, the B to C# and the G to A.The B raise is done by a strap to a belt loop and by rotating the guitar to the left the B string is raised, very easy and smooth. The other raises are done by the back of the right hand. The levers are adjustable and can be swung out of the way by loosening a thumb screw. They are easily removed so the guitar will still fit in a guitar case.

Very cool! Same raises as I use. Being a pedal steeler, I needed that E to F raise. Looks very nicely built too. Congrats!

That looks incredile. I'm very impressed. That looks so good. You could probobly go into business installing them.

On my guitar I have 5 out the 6 strings connected to benders (B off the strap, G the Glasser belt loop way and then a Hip Shot with 3 palm levers High E to F#, D string bends up to E, and The A string bends up to B) But I don't have room for another palm lever for my Low E string. I wish I could get that last string to connect to a bender.

Can you post a video of your guitar so we could see/hear it bend?

Yes I am a pedal steel player too.I built a 12 string steel guitar about 25 years a go that I still play. There's just something about bending strings that gets to me.I really would love to build a electric 5 string banjo like Buck Trent played with Porter Wagner. It sounded like combination banjo ,steel guitar, and Telecaster all in one!

Buck Trent was THE GUY who got me into string bending so long ago! In the 9th grade, I built a 5-string neck for my Gramp's old Bruno Tenor. Then made the lever-style Scruggs tuners for it. Man that was a loooong time ago!

    Twang Bender update

Excuse me for the slow response but I've been sick with broccial pnuemonia for the past 3 weeks. Also I'm finishing another bender with one slight modification and am expermenting with different finishes.I wanted to finish it before I made a video but I think I'll try to make one next week.As far as fitting other guitars that is something I want to look into. This is a brand new product and I'm still learning how to use it but it is a lot of fun and I appreciate everybodies interest.I also need to develop a price structure. Thanks David
