    Howdy folks,

im thinking about getting a EHX MEL9.
I would like to be able to turn the selector knob with my foot.

firstly, will I be able to get this knob off?
Second, is there a contraption I can put on the knob and turn by foot?
The rubber covers look like they might make it impossible to see the selections.
    Any input appreciated!

Mxr used to have a boot that went over the knob just for that purpose. the knob is still commonly available at many electronic suppliers. I'm not sure of Dunlop still offers the boot though

I have the C9, the detents are pretty stiff. Maybe put it on a shelf on a mic stand.

Another reason a 3D printer is magical! A custom knob/arm/lever.

I fine adjust the MXR rubber knob cover on my microamp with my foot at every gig

I jammed a wrench onto a strat knob and put it on the rate pot off an ehx pulsar. Worked pretty well for changing trem speed with your foot. You could also try removing the pot and throw it into a wah enclosure.

Tone in Progress Third Hand Expression Pedal, they don't make them anymore and they were pricey, but you might find a used one for $70-80:

Morley used to make a device for just this purpose. That was way back though. Probably the 80’s.

EHX knobs tend to come off easier with a heat gun. Just enough to soften the grip, not enough to melt it.

There’s an old EHX Hot Foot for sale on Reverb.com for $150 USD.
