Turkey or Ham?

@blowtorch, I sure do love gyros and prefer them over ham AND turkey, but if ham and turkey are the choices, I prefer ham.
That said, this year for the first time in about a decade, we’re having turkey.

Our Thanksgiving tradition is to have dinner at The Columbia, the best Spanish-Cuban restaurant in Florida. My wife will have an excellent traditional turkey dinner and I will have...roast pork ala Cubana? Paella Espanola? Boliche "Criollo?"

1. Ham is only real, South of the Manson Nixon line, if it's a Virginia, Country Ham. 2. Other ham is a sad aberration.
That said, modern ham is cured with poisons,( nitrites, nitrates), and I can't eat it. Sad.
A real smoke cured country ham is prohibitively expensive. Double sad.
Guess it's turkey for me.

Anytime I get me some standing rib roast on rock salt, I'm as thankful as the pilgrims were, and then some.
