Tube Screamer at 12v?

    As long as the caps are rated high enough and the IC can handle it, it should be fine to run a ts at 12v, right? What would the difference in sound be? Just higher headroom like you hear about with running other pedals at higher voltages? I just feel like if a ts could be run at a higher voltage, it would be a hot topic on the interwebs. Especially since the ts is such a popular pedal.

    Sure. With a few adjustments here and there. The main reason it is 9V is because you don't see any 12V batteries out there. I don't think a car battery would be feasible due to portability issues. :)

    I haven't tried it, but there really shouldn't be a difference in headroom because the diodes clamp the signal before it reaches the rail voltage.
