my 1971 silver face champ is ailing, appears to have some caps that have reached the end of their service life and are leaking DC voltage to places it shouldn't be going. I've had it for 15 years and this is the first time I've had a problem with it. The only thing I had done to it was a 3-prong cord and removal of the death cap. Being a 50 year old amp, it probably was serviced at some point before I got it.

I used to have a guy in Manchester, 20 miles away but he appears to be gone. I'm looking for something in the nashua concord salem nh triangle, and keene and portsmouth are acceptable as well. Frankly, driving for an hour is less time consuming than my OCD method of packing for shipping.

I am neither qualified nor equipped to do this kind of repair myself, so please spare me the "just measure the voltage between the whatzit and the doodad, and if it explodes, you found the source of the problem." :D

    In Plaistow on 125.
Ron is quick and reasonable too.

Check with Guitar Workshop in Salem.
