    Hey,

I'm in love with this guitar tone, I'm trying to match it with my current telecaster but the bridge pickup isn't getting the job done.

    My current tele;
Squier Classic Vibe Butterscotch (with the presumed Tonerider Vintage Plus) Bridge 6.5k Alnico 5
I find this pickup to be quite thin and brittle compared to the guitar tone below.

    Examples:

The artist plays a 60's reissue sunburst tele, through a deluxe reverb. I know he got it before 2015 if that helps.

A cursory search brought up this pedal board image.

Beyond that I'd say any presumed 'thickness' is likely a combination of amp eq, recording eq, and picking technique.

It's worth noting that he does sound a bit brighter in a live context, so I'd say the way those tracks were recorded and layered probably has a fair bit to do with that particular tone.

There is a lot of processing on those music clips.;)

(I am not sure the P/U the dude is using is similar to yours.)

Just for the pickups there are a lot of variables.
    Pickup distance from strings.
    Actual resistance of the potentiometers.
A5 strength. TVPlus magnets are supposed to be aged (lower strength).
    String gauge and type.
Picking near the bridge vs further away.

Then there are Amp variables and... speakers.

IMO your bridge p/u should be somewhat over wound to get closer to the sound you are after.

To me, it sounds like the middle position (neck and bridge in parallel), possibly with a stratty neck pickup.

Ditto. I dig them. They remind me of New Order.
