True Tone

I picked up this Truetone guitar off of craigslist this week. I've been looking for a archtop for western swingy stuff. What I have found out about this guitar was it was probably made by Kay in the mid 60's to be sold in Western Auto stores of all places! The thing is this guitar just sings. The neck is straight, it stays in tune and the Dearmond PU is awesome. When other music is being played in the room on the cd player it just starts to vibrate like it's possesed-cool! This was by no means a high end guitar in it's day, but I'm having a blast playing around with it. I hear Jack White of the White Stripes plays the Kay version of this model.

Great buy! I wish we had more cool stuff like that on this side of the pond.

absolutely nuthin' wrong with those old Truetone's...got one in my "junk" room just like it....
