Has anyone worked with this product?

Tried & True Original Wood Finish

Note that I am not referring to Tru-Oil (which contains polyurethane)! This T&T finish is a mixture of BLO and beeswax. Both Stew-Mac and Woodcraft carry it (as well as Amazon!). Wondering if it might be a reasonable finish for a roasted maple neck...

Thanks!
Rick

I"ve used Tried and True products for over two decades...for furniture and decorative projects. It would likely be fine for your neck as long as you understand that you may need to reapply it from time to time in the future or at least wax it. Bee's wax is very, very soft. I use both the oil only and the oil and beeswax versions. I do not like the third, varnish oil made with tree resin...I've never been able to get an even finish with it. I would not use these finishes for a guitar body, however.
