Tried a couple used JHS pedals today....wound up with something else.

I had business in Columbus with a late flight out. I'm still at the airport. I Uber'd to the Sam Ash store this afternoon. I hadn't been in a Sam Ash in ages. Nice store. I enjoyed the store.

I tried a Morning Glory.....it's more of a boost (I thought) than an Overdrive. I wanted to get in the old Tom Petty Tele tone area. The also had the Calhoun V3 which is Mike Campbell's signature pedal and I was excited to play it. The fuzz side was crazy Fuzz. Lots of fuzz. Too much for me. The overdrive was like a boost and together they sounded like more fuzz. I'm no Mike Campbell (understatement of the year) and I couldn't make it work.

They had a Tone Bakery Creme Brûlée with the box and book and it was $89. This one landed me in the Petty zone perfectly. It's supposed to be smooth with nice edge when you dig in. I truly loved it. It's like it was made for a Tele.

    My souvenir from Columbus.......

Yes I took a pedal picture at the airport. I'm bored and I wanna go home.

The 808 is coming off the gig board. I'm removing the green. I may never say that again but I'm going for it.

I'll be in my own bed at 11. I'm putting the pedal on my night stand.

Nice pedal! I hear they are one of the better Klon clones out there. Have a blast!

For some reason, I thought you had been using a Green Screamer. No?

Why? Is there a pedal-related reason? Or, is this comment what I think it is (which happens to be banned by forum rules)?

Plagiarism? No. But, if we did stand up against that, the pedal industry would disappear.

No religion (or, similarly, anti-religion). This seems to be a problem in JHS threads.

Of course, I could be wrong.

One can't assume a person's choice not to buy from a vendor on the sole basis that they oppose the vendor's purported "philosophy" anymore than one can assume another person's choice to buy from said vendor on the sole basis that they support the vendor's purported "philosophy."

I think they call that a false dilemma.

I just don't like them. I hope that's not banned. I don't like a lot of companies. I don't have one myself, so I thought I could just badmouth freely.
Isn't jhs kind of prs-ey? Are there any good three initial companies?

Just take it as...not really a threat...more a like friendly warning as to what will happen if you ever do decide to purchase a JHS pedal and happily announce that purchase here.

I have an Angry Charlie and a Foot Fuzz that I enjoy.

Some how the the other potentially controversial stuff slipped past me.
