We watched a video concert with Chuck Berry on PBS. "Brown Eyed Handsome Man".

He played a lot of different guitars over the years, mostly ES types. I really enjoyed this video, it has a lot of footage of him throughout the years as well as other musician's covering his songs. A couple things that stood out to me:
    - Some Cherry colored Gibsons are pearly rich deep cherry red looking guitars and beautiful. One ES355 with gold hardware he uses early in the video is just superb looking.
-It seems to me most you see though are kind of a dull cherry color.
    -Chuck Berry had huge hands!

Same here - I noticed some footage borrowed from Keef's film "Hail, Hail Rock & Roll"

If I'm remembering the story correctly...the ES350 that Clapton was using was a gift from Keith to Chuck.
Chuck wasn't interested in a vintage Gibson...he preferred his modern 335. So Clapton took it.

Some of my favorite parts of the movie are when Chuck is giving Keith crap.
