I like my Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter. You have the option for tap tempo as well as the ability to adjust the balance between how quickly the volume rises vs falls.

It’s a nice one. Particularly like the bias setting.

The real bonus is that it does a rotary effect that is useful enough to keep me from buying a rotary pedal.

I’m surprised the awesome Fulltone SupaTrem hasn’t been mentioned yet! The v2 of the SupaTrem 2 is smaller.

Also possibly the fanciest of all would be the Delta Trem from Effectrode, which uses preamp tubes and has an incredible amount of variables. They also make a 3-tube Tube Vibe pedal I also have, and that sounds just like the harmonic vibrato on my brownface amps.

I had the original Supa-Trem and it sounded great but it was pretty big so I sold it. I got a Keeley modified Boss TR-2 after that and have used it for years. Great tone, crystal clear and adjustable volume boost.

I have a stock Boss TR-2 that I like. In fact I use it instead of the amp's tremolo, and I use it a lot.

I’ve got a Marshall Vibratrem - it mostly does what I need it to.

I went to GC to find a tremolo and played the BOSS one. The only problem was that when you stopped playing and even turned the thing off, it kept making a swooshing sound in tremolo.
So the guy went and got another one. Then another one. All 3 of them did that. We took it out of the line and no more swooshing. Plugged it back it, no swooshing. Played it. The swooshing was back. So I left.

    Totally agree.

I want a Monster Effects Swamp-Thang Tremolo so bad, but haven't seen them anywhere for a long while when I'm looking on the usual used pedal sites.

I just bought one off Ebay. Lots of good tones, fast and slow, deep and subtle. It's not as good as the unit in my 67 Pro Reverb... but nothing is.

Lots of good trem pedals out there, but if you've got a good deal on a Strymon, you should jump on it. If its a great deal then you can sell the Strymon and buy three other trem pedals suggested here.

    BOSS TR2

Bombproof, sounds great, got a variable wave shape control and you won’t kick the setting off tapping it on and off
