Agree with the other two gents. TC Spark Booster (the four button one... not the mini) or Joyo California Sound, below the 12 o'clock position.

Haha no worries at all, I see why it looked that way once you pointed it out for sure.

At $80.00 its a killer deal and I hope to order one in the near future...

That said the Caline Pure sky is a KILLER pedal. Probably up there with the best boost/low gain overdrives I've ever tried and the price is ridiculous...

Me recommend one of these anytime I can. Yes it's huge and requires a AC 12v.

Drop a couple of cheap rca 12au7 cleartop in it will be best light/edge of OD sound you've ever heard. Have yet to find a amp it doesn't like, nor any pedal pumped into front of it that didn't sound fantastic with it on.

I love Zvex Super Hard On as an always on. It adds some of that good old fashioned Vox chime and helps brighten up a dark amp without making bright amps too bright.

An attenuator but not working too hard, crank the amp up a little more.. then any of these gives pleasing results

I think mine is older than the bull version. I like the simple looks better but that's me

+1, easily set up as an always on pedal. If you get it, set the focus knob low or off for a more transparent sound, or turn it up for presence and more ts vibe

Transparent OD is that an oxymoron? This might be an idea for a thread. Sweet distortion! Witty tdpri poster!

Since nobody mentioned Timmy yet, I will. Timmy.
Woops! Timmy has been mentioned. My mistake.

Soulfood is badass for $60, you should hear it pumped into that 2ube pedal, glorious breakup.

I am surprised that you cannot get close to what you require with the OD3. Set with the gain low it does a great job for me through an AC30. Soul food is also good used with care. I have these two stacked both with minimum gain and it does what I need. There is nothing worse than to lose the "punch" of a valve amp through letting a pedal take over.

    Maybe definitely.
Sounds to me like OP needs a volume booster.

^This has been my experience, with those 12au7's I don't think you can get any more of a transparent od. But that pedal can do a lot of other things...very cool pedal.
