Has anyone ever had their power transformer not fit in their 5e3 chassis? Any suggestions?
Just get a couple strips of metal. Pop a couple holes in each for trans bolts, mount and pop two more to rivet to chassis.
Many of the chassis I have seen advertised say the PT cutout is large enough to use a Deluxe Reverb. I used one in my build, as I wanted to add a switchable "fixed" bias.
Can you tell us what model PT you chose and where the chassis came from?
Thanks for the advice guys. Turns out I was sent a Champ PT. The new one is on the way!
It is a boothill kit. Dave sent the wrong one accidentally. Any chance you might know a little about this amp? Excluding the larger 22uf caps, I have a question about the middle cap. The .022 uf cap. I have an orange 203 for each of the two on the right, but, have three caps left over. Another orange 203 and two of these yellow ones. I can't really tell what the value is on these. I see .15 on it, but other than that I don't know. This is my first build. Any thoughts?
The orange drop is a .022
There is a link to read orange drops
I bought one of these a few years ago so I don't have to get out the magnifier and code book.
If @hackworth1, Dave, is mixing capacitors he may intend using them in certain positions in the circuit. I would confirm with him the thought process and intention. .02$
