I am considering to have my '57 Tele body refinished. It was already a refin when I got many years ago but the work isn't stellar. I am located in Europe and I would prefer not to ship the thing overseas. Can anyone recommend me a good refinisher that has experience with vintage Fender? We used to have Clive Brown in the UK but I learned that he does not do refinish work anymore :( .
Maybe Jaeger in Germany?

check out GuitarAngelUK. She refinished my 71' Rosewood Tele, and my brothers 59 Gretsch Headstock. Best luthier we have ever worked with. Attention to vintage detail, work is finished rather speedily. The only luthier we use now. I had to ship that Tele from Arizona to Spain, for pickup and hand delivery to the UK.....but I no longer trust many people in the states...to get back original parts etc. In the end, it was worth it.

Not only was the Tele finish and wood restoration done perfectly....and I mean "perfectly"....in nitro. But the polish of the neck, and setup are perfect.....absolutely "PERFECT".

Maybe try checking out @CescosCornerGuitars on Instagram. He's in Italy. Looks like he has a guy @rufini_guitars that's done (from what I can recently see) a '51 and a Broadcaster. Not sure how renowned he is however

You could try MB Guitars in the UK, he literally finished repainting my '57 Esquire. I am picking it up in a couple of days. Here are some photos from his Instagram:

Looks great. I like the reverse sunburst effect. It is still a bit of shame to refinish those bare one piece bodies. Mine is just like that.
Also like the subtle aging. I want that too.

Hi Antoon,
I would suggest Huw Price in Wales, UK.
He’s a good friend of mine and has been doing amazing work to all kinds of vintage guitars. Including amazing refinishes. I would trust him with my guitars any time and that says a lot because I do all my own work because I don't trust anyone with them....
