I bought a parts caster that had a an infinity body with a top loading bridge with block saddles. It was a pain in the ass to feed the strings under the back of the saddle and then up through the middle to break over the top front of the saddle.

Yes, that what I referred to in my earlier post. Needle nose pliers were handy to overcome that challenge.

Do they make a flat plate Modern bridge with block saddles that top loads? Reason being ive acquired a cheap Tele knockoff and want to change the bridge but the body is not string through or have holes. And I really would rather not drill holes in the guitar. I was hoping to goto a Modern style bridge with block saddles on this guitar but theres no holes for strings. I already have a Tele with ashtray bridge and brass saddles.

Thanks-
Yes, I’ve found one on eBay here. I’m not sure which 3-screw pattern it fits. I plan to get one and try it. I have an early ‘90s Cort Tele copy that is probably like the American Standard, and a ~2K+ Squier Standard. The Am Std had its screws farther back than vintage ‘50s, but not as far back as the ~2K+ Sq Std. I’m not beholden to those bent steel saddles, but they are replaceable. Either this will fit one of those patterns, or I’ll have to drill some more screw holes, that the plate will hide.

I bought this one. The hole pattern is the same as 2K+ Squier Standard teles. Here it is, placed for comparison (and it’s destination now) on top of and aside one of mine. IMG_3060.jpeg

Here’s the one from eBay I bought, installed on a Squier Standard Series Special Tele. I used a set of eBay machined brass block saddles (10.8”, 2 3/16” spacing) instead of the bent steel saddles that it came with; just as a matter of preference. It was a small challenge getting the strings up through the saddles when stringing it toploaded, for which I used one of the plain steel old strings, with its end bent with needle nose pliers into a fishhook U shape; to grab the string end through the saddle. The STB holes align well enough on this Standard, that I also have the option of stringing through them.
