Unfortunately, the NHL has allowed their officials to call perhaps the worst collective playoff hockey in memory...ironically, 2019 has been the best quality set of playoff rounds in recent memory. Look no further than money, as it’s agenda, (prolonging the series). The Bruins are obviously the more experienced & skillful team. St. Louis has found success with their more physically, punishing style of play, afterall, it’s professional hockey. Let’s hope the powers that be, give everybody a fairly officiated affair

Agreed. Stripes are really $#!ttin' it up, and not just NHL. Officiating in the big leagues has been sketchy at best.

I want the Blues to win, but you gotta admit they blew that trip call to win game 5.

Let's go Blues! St. Louis is due! Not that that makes game 7 on the road any easier. I expect a close, hard fought game. Overtime would be cool but I don't know if my heart could take it. Hope to hear silence after the final horn.

I went to Game 5, and was sitting right above where Accari was tripped. Bad non-call, but the Bruins were outplayed regardless.

    BRING IT HOME, BRUINS!

I'm wearing my Cheevers jersey as we speak! I'm a pessimistic guy, but I'm feeling nervously positive. Hope I'm right.

    Guess which one is me!

Unless there is a replay rule for every single play in every game, officiating will always have some level of an impact. It will help one side, hurt the other and it’s been that way since...... forever?
It should be considered an evil necessity with no real alternative (imo)
As they say “ don’t leave it in the hands of the judges”. Instead of blaming the refs, how many plays did the players blow that would have made a much greater impact than plays muffed by the zebras?
I sure as hell wouldn’t want that job:lol::lol::lol:

Heard a story on the news that the Blues owner's thank you message to the St Louis fans for supporting the team to victory in the Stanley Cup got published by mistake at some online news site yesterday. That'll end up as either the most confident move of all time... or one of the greatest jinxes.

I think the Stanley Cup playoff format is a bit absurd. So many 7 game series! I think they should do it more like baseball-- lower level playoffs can
have 3 or 5 game playoffs and reserve the 7 game playoffs for the semi-finals and finals. Or possibly do single game elimination like NFL, at least
    up to a point.

I was listening to an NBA GM (I don't recall which team) on an interview where he said that he thinks the NBA playoff format is all wrong-- that they should
have one-game, win-or-lose playoff games just like in NCAA or NFL, with maybe having a short 3 game series for the finals.
This would make things a lot more exciting, and it would give underdogs a much better
chance of an upset. This would also help increase league parity just by increasing the element of luck.....on any given day the underdog has a chance.

I suppose some people feel that having all 7-game series helps ensure that the best team makes it to the finals, but we know that is not the case.
First, the margin for getting into the playoffs vs. being left out can be very tiny. Second, with so many games in the playoffs there are that many more
opportunities for star players to suffer season-ending injuries. So the injury factor becomes a huge wild card. Look at the Raptors vs. Warriors
as an example of injuries driving the outcome as much as anything.

In January if you would have put $40 on the Blues to win the cup, you would have won $100,000. If you would've put $100 on the Golden Knights to make it to the final in their inaugural year, you would have won $100,000.

Sooooooooo...there's a new Seattle team coming soon...
