Now that i got some time with my TC730 is stock form. I'm going to do some upgrades. Not sure where to go on the pups though. I have Toneriders in my strat and there great. Thinking of pairing the hot classics with a 4 way switch Toneshaper.

The Hot Classics are my favorite off the shelf pickups. I'd suggest emailing Aaron at Rumpelstiltskin about a set of his Black Ropes. Awesome pickups and Aaron couldn't be better to deal with.

I love Hot Classics and dont bother looking for more expensive booteek pups .Maybe there are some better but for what I play, mainly blues ,jazz ,rock and an occasional country burst ,they hit the spot for me .At present I only have a bridge installed as I rather like the stock CVC neck pickup which is basically a Tonerider anyway .I consider the TR HC bridge to be better than the stock CVC bridge though .A bit more bluesy bite .I always debated whether my Baja pickups were better than my Hot Classics in my other Telecaster.I think the neck was but not the bridge .I might try a combo of a Twisted Tele and a hot classic on a four way in my parts caster .

+1000000 on the TR HCs. I have them in my CVC aswell, amazingly clear and super at handling a bit of crunchy goodness.

btw

Please let us know whether that Twisted Tele and Hot Classic works. I am very intrigued.

I've used Tonerider Hot Classics since 2008. I use them in my builds and have suggested them to friends. We are all happy with them- I even put a set in my Hwy 1. They are great and inexpensive. ( I am not commercially affiliated with the firm).
