    I’m strongly considering a tonemaster.

is it easy to dial in overdrive at lower volumes on these? I’ve become super sensitive to loud sounds, so if these can hit that mark I might pick one up

Yes. I have the Deluxe and the Twin. The attenuator makes that possible.

Do you have a dB meter? What are you looking to hit?

Even on the lowest power scale setting the Deluxe will be around 80 dB overdriven. Verging on vacuum cleaner? So not “loud” but not whisper. But it nails the overdriven DR sound perfectly.

The TM Twin doesn’t overdrive like any cranked Twin I’ve had the privilege of (briefly) trying. The TM stays cleaner IME. It’s also WAY louder than the Deluxe on its lowest power setting.

The Deluxe is the real deal.

Sounds like a good match for you.
