Installed the Tone Tubby Key West in my Deluxe Reverb last night. I only had a few minutes to play, and with all my kids asleep I could't turn it up past 3.5 but WOW, it sounded fantastic. Lots of clarity and "sparkle" and a lot less boomy and muddy than the stock speaker. I was concerned that going to a speaker that is so much quieter (89.2db) might sound too thin, but it sounds full and clear. Love it.

With a sensitivity rating that low, I may need to try one of those for myself. I'm always on the hunt for a lower volume speaker for playing at home.

A steel guitar engagment.
Glad you like it. I bought a Hempcone? TT to drop into a 1x12 cab and it sounded like I took the stock Mesa speaker and smothered it with a wet blanket. Luckily I was able to sell it and not take a beatin' on it. I have to check out the Key West since I haven't speaker shopped for years. Enjoy.

This one is the opposite of a wet blanket sound. Very crisp and clear. but I guess it would depend on what you’re comparing it to, I found the stock speaker in my deluxe reverb to be a tad bit boomy.
