Well road block.. after spending all day talking out details. I ask when we can meet tomorrow. (As the Craigslist post says my same town) he says he’s in Dallas. Just over a hour away. And is willing to meet but only within a 15 min drive from him. Leaving the other 45-60 mins one way for me.

kinda frustrating because he has several guitars posted on CL. All of which say Sherman. He claimed it was a mistyped zip code. That many times?

am I over thinking or is that kinda red flags? It’s frustrating. I like the LP. I want it. If his post would have said Dallas upfront that may be one thing. But even IF it was a mistake. I’d think half way is pretty customary.

Oh I’m aware lol. I don’t buy new. I’ve only bought 2 guitars ever new. A old 2011 (graduation year) fender MiM FSR tele. The limited silver burst. (Kick myself for selling that). And my acoustic because it’s the one I wanted and couldn’t find it anywhere used. And I try to deal local. Easier to avoid shady scams and shipping damage.

I’m a Gibson guy but I have a tele that I love. It’s the only Fender I’ve bonded with. A MIM C50s. It’s simply amazing.
I’m a huge SG fan but my ‘74 LP Special has become my #1.

I guess it’s not meant to be. First guy claims it was a accident. But SEVERAL CL posts (in my city) but is actually a hour away. That’s weird. But now all day he’s been dark. No communication. We were supposed to meet in a couple days. But idk. As of now I’m not driving a hour blind.

Wise decision..too many red flags.

Yea. Im kinda bummed. But then thinking about it. I have a nice epiphone gold top. Im a tele guy. But I actually sold this tele in the past and regretted it. And happened to get it back. I had a MiM FSR back after high school. Bought it with graduation money. Kick myself for selling it. This is another FSR. So maybe it’s for the best and fate’s trying to tell me something.

Don’t be disappointed. The right one is still out there and you’ll find it when it’s perfect to do so. Best of luck!

Well. Took longer than expected. Felt kinda uncertain with him not replying for a while. But took a chance. Drove a hour. Then boom. I’m a owner of a new to me 2015 Nashville TN. Gibson Les Paul Studio

I need help! @Jakedog? Original owner had some vinyl the Les Paul sticker on the head. It IS a real Nashville Gibson. But I wanted a 2015 because it had Les’ signature and the 100 on the head. I love that. I guess owner didn’t and covered it.

sooo what’s the best/safest way to remove that sticker residue on the headstock without ruining actual finish?

Great. The grain pattern and color are beautiful!

thank you!! I love her already. Can’t imagine why someone would sticker over the 2015 commemorative head! I think that’s cool as hell! Just trying to clean the gunk off now.

Somewhere between here and there
Naptha (lighter fluid) will remove the gunk without hurting the paint. They also sell it under the name 'Goof-off' but it's basically lighter fluid.

Remember - rub softly! And use a soft cloth.
