    Early this year, when "the situation" was at it's (then) bleakest and I was going on long walks for the isolation, escaping into earbuds... I came to the conclusion that Mule Variations is actually the album for THESE times. It all fits...

    Mule Variations was when I finally got Waits good. Saw him on that tour in Denver. Big fan of Marc Ribot's playing on songs like Jockey Full of Bourbon, too.
