This is wonderful, just came out...
I love that, the simplicity and minimalism. It shows a work in progress that Tom would subtly edit before the final recording including the half verse that ended up being used in Crawling Back to You.
RIP... been missing Tom Petty this week.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Such great stuff. Tom fills a part of my musical brain.
A sweet, intimate moment. When a song is strong it's immediately apparent, anything else is just icing.
Thanks for sharing.
Made me lose my breath for a moment.
Very nice and rough. Man.... Tom Petty....
Nice to hear, and apropos ATM...
that's my earworm for the afternoon sorted
Tender and Bad Ass was Tom. Lived his life to the fullest and got to play music with his influences. Job Well Done Tom, thanks for sharing your music with us.
His demos sound better than my finished products.
That was really nice. Thanks for post in' it.
I like that better than the album version.
It's funny how artists work so hard in the recording studio to produce the perfect or definitive version of a song, but often we fans are thrilled with the raw demos. I'd love it if artists would more often release alternate takes etc. Sometimes I think I'm sick of a song but I'm really just tired of that particular recording.
I still miss him a lot.
Good gracious!! That is epic. Thanks for posting.
I always thought this could have been a Neil Young song.
