    Koala survives 16km Adelaide Hills journey trapped behind 4WD wheel, but joey missing

    A koala has been released back into the wild after enduring a 16-kilometre nightmare clinging onto the axle of a four-wheel drive in the Adelaide Hills.

    Don Bigham, from Fauna Rescue of South Australia's Koala Hotline, said they believed the marsupial crawled into the wheelwell where it attached itself to the axle last weekend.

    Morning glory brings gliders from far and wide to surf spectacular, rare cloud formation

    Like surfers scouting for the ultimate wave, gliders have travelled nationwide to soar across the Gulf of Carpentaria's rare roll-like cloud formation known as the morning glory.

    The long rolling clouds often appear in northern Australia during spring, when cool ocean temperatures meet with warm land temperatures.

    I was listening to the ABC the other day and the good Dr Sandra was on the radio talking about this vomiting fungi. I thought I heard her say that she vomited up some fungi, but I guess I misheard.

    Not really an Oz happening, per se, but I just got a picture of our son and daughter having lunch together in Sydney with the son of my college roommate from almost 50 years ago. A little bizarre they happened to be there at exactly the same time, and none of them live there!

    I don't know, if it happened in Sydney, we'll claim it!

    Weather's not crash hot, but it would still be nice anywhere on the harbor.

    "A decade long hunt to catch the Katherine region's biggest crocodile has ended in triumph.

    A male saltwater croc measuring 4.71 metres long – as long as the average family car – was trapped by rangers in the Northern Territory town today."

    * he'll end up at a croc farm/ tourist park, I'd say...

    [IMG]

    Rangers captured two crocodiles today, the second 'baby' croc still being more than two metres long.

    Yikkes!.... that's huge!...:eek:

    I'd love to see that trailer heading down the road. If it were me, I'd take it through the nearest McDonald's drive-through and then park at the local swimming pool for lunch.

    The whole thing was a misunderstanding. What happened was the head ranger said "Boys I want you to bring that trailer back .... and make it snappy."

    That's lame as a two-legged dog, but I'm still laughing. ;-)
