The sound of coins as they hit the bottom of my guitar case when I'm busking on Saturday mornings. Its a shame $5 bills don't make a noise too.. S:rolleyes:

As much as I hate cats, that sounds like a great situation. One of those "it doesn't get any better than this" times.

    1) Your new-born baby's first cry.
    2) The sonorous rumble of a multi radial-engined aircraft.
    3) The pop of a beer can being opened.

I also like the sound of a well tuned 4.5litre V8 motor when its ticking over. But not in the early morning, but later, in fact any time after 9.30.am.. S

I don't like cats either. And at that point I was deathly allergic to them (that seems to have eased up quite a bit as I've aged). But I didn't care in that moment. It gave her something to talk to in an singsong French voice/accent that was just astonishingly beautiful. It was one of those perfect moments - I wouldn't remember it so incredibly clearly after nearly 40 years if it hadn't been... Probably helped that I didn't know what she was saying - maybe telling the cat terrible things about me!

A car driving slowly on a gravel driveway.
The sea sizzling as the Sun sets into it.
The intro to 'Ace of Spades'.
The voice in my head that says 'It's Friday & it's 5 o'clock...'
    Someone making your cappuccino.
A cat purring simply because he's lying next to you.
    A Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.
    Perfect feedback.

I love the sounds of a "dirty" electric guitar.....just turns me on...always has...think Keef's tone on "Brown Sugar"...to die for.

And I love the sound of a hockey puck clanging off the pipes of a goal...don't know why, just do.

    Ravens croaking/clucking in the trees.
    Waves crashing on the shore.
    Loons in a quiet anchorage.
I can't find an example of the low "knocking" sound the Raven makes, but they do a bunch of cool sounds, here's one:

Pure wilderness. A close second is that dam Derek Trucks on Midnight In Harlem.

    A child’s laughter.

    Snow falling.

    Dew drops forming.

    A kitten purring.

    A butterfly fluttering by.

    It’s all good...

My vintage 3 litre straight six through a 3” stainless steel.

Second only to my 345 cranked through a Marshall JMP when everything locks in.

I'm going to make this a tribute to a lifelong friend. I will not mention his name, but he will know that it's him I'm talking about.
This guy does an imitation of Willy Nelson that stops people in their tracks. It's all in his voice, and seems as natural as can be. He has all of Willy's voice's inflections and feelings and delivers each song with all the love, and understanding that it deserves.
Everybody lucky enough to be playing along with him, live that short experience of a lifetime that most of us strive for in our music.
    God bless you, Ron.

A two valve air cooled Ducati engine braking down through the rev range. It sounds good on accel too, but the decel is what really does it.

A sound I will never forget but was far from beautful was four attack helicopters flying low, in formation, towards me. I've never served but it still scared the crap out of me.
