Short post. Check.
No big words. Check.
British humor requires a level of sophistication to appreciate it, if you don’t have it, well, you just don’t have it.
Well... I don't know what to say other than you just keep on, keeping on exactly the way you have. I don't see any reason to change things. It's perfectly all right by me, lame jokes and all.
Kinda like figure 8 racing with school buses...
I have never been offended by your posts but entertained quite often. Let those who need to put on their big boy panties do that.
TD , you and a handful of other creative brilliant minds on TDPRI are one of the only reasons I come back to this site. there are too many to name but I have never been offended by any thing you've done or said ... Major respect ,TD
Hmmpf! I resemble that remark!
Uh, my wife refers to my humor as being "barnyard humor"...ie: it stinks! So, maybe you're not as bad as you think??!!
One of my friends walks with a limp. He's still a good guy. I'm sure you are one two.
Bakersfield? And you have nothing better to do than this.
Now, that's funny.
Rest assured it has never been I that was ever offended.
Rave-On Brother TD!!!
FWIW....TD, you're one of several members here that I keep coming back to read. I LOVE music....I LOVE MAKING music...I LOVE playing guitar....I LOVE playing Telecaster guitars......I enjoy TALKING about music and Telecaster guitars......but if that was ALL that went on here, I probably would have pulled out a while ago. In fact, my own sense of humor is a bit edgier than is allowed here. What I object to, and I think should be controlled, is humor that is deliberately mean-spirited and targeted at people to intentionally offend. Telling a political joke is OK in my opinion.....calling someone a "ninny" (or much worse) for their political beliefs is NOT OK......but it's not my call.(GRRRRR)
Humor, by its nature, is often very near the line. Sometimes that line is crossed, especially since we don’t all have the same line.
I did let you know once when you crossed my line, no big deal.
Keep being who you are
Thank you String Tree, I admire the effort you've put into your music, and your band, I watched the video you posted a while back and enjoyed it immensely!
I always thought you were one of the common sense level headed guys. What the heck did I miss?!?
Your humor is just fine.
I almost didn't open this thread when I saw it because it didn't apply to me I am never offended by your posts & it takes a bit to rile me up anymore.
Then I looked and saw it grew to 4 pages in 3 hours and figured I was missing something. The thing you're "not missing" is people don't like you cause most do.
I enjoy all your lame-ass posts, TD.
I've been busy going through an ugly divorce for the past year, so not much TDPRI. However, I always remembered your posts as being thoughtful and enjoyable.
Just logged on for the first time in many months the other day, and I am wondering what's up with my favorite forum? Technical glitches, rudeness, arguing and longtime posters leaving - that's not the TDPRI that I remember.
i have no problem with your posts or humor...please keep being yourself
