Hi guys, quick question I am looking for a timpani style effect in gb and can't find anything close..
I would prefer to be able to "play" the drum with musical typing rather then a loop that I struggle to get to fit...
Has anyone seen a familiar effect or know one that could be imported???
I believe I have the latest version of gb but not all the effects (it's 13gb and don't have that much wifi currently ).

Any help would be appreciated

I don't quite understand this sentence:
I believe I have the latest version of gb but not all the effects (it's 13gb and don't have that much wifi currently ).
It's been some years since I've worked in GB, but I can tell you that the Apple loops library in Logic X contains an array of various MIDI timpani samples, easily editable in the piano roll. No reason those shouldn't translate to GB, since Logic these days has become GB on steroids. When you installed, did you take advantage of the "Download more sounds" feature? If not, here's how: how-to-get-all-the-awesome-extra-sounds-for-garageband-10/ ... I have no idea if the MIDI (green) timpani loops are included, but if not, at least you know they exist and can go in-search-of.

It's a pretty massive download and took a LONG time even at my fairly decent download speed (cable modem). The only saving grace is that when you interrupt the download, it takes up where it left off when you reboot. Good luck!

Thank you ! Dinner with the parents tomorrow ... Mum will get a surprise when I say I'll go to there house haha

For that download, better tell 'em you're moving back in for a couple of days! Just kidding, it's worth it because there's so much there. You'll thank yourself for persevering!
