I thought that they will only give you a discount if you call them, is that not true?

Right now I don't give a damn about candy! I purchased a guitar a week ago and it still hasn't shipped. Sorely disappointed in a place that used to provide outstanding service. My sales rep told me about the warehouse reorganization. That doesn't fly with me. The execution of this is terrible and it is costing them their reputation.

Hmm, my last order from them was only about a month ago, and I got 6 or 7 pieces of candy in it. Maybe I got your missing pieces?

A week? That would be blazing fast in Canuckistan. We're just too laid back.

I'm sorry, I read your post/question as if they insisted on calling us. I completely forgot about calling them. I guess they DO put us in a position of having to call to get a lower price than the website.
I can only guess it's like the phone companies. If you order a phone online it's one price, if you go to their stick and brick it's a different price.

Based on my experience with Sweetwater, it has never taken more than a day to receive a shipping notice. Most often it has been only a matter of hours. SO, based on my experience, a week is unsatisfactory.

4 fireballs, 2 smartees, 1 bitohoney, 1 taffy, -I think that was it.

That was last week. The Coronavirus must be hitting the bottom line harder now.

A hundred years ago I had a swimming teacher that called them "fish food" and rewarded us kids with them.

I still call them "fish food" to this day. :D

The last two Sweetwater purchases I made were the opposite of the OP. 2 or 3 bags with 5-7 pieces each. Unfortunately, a lot of Smarties and not many Bit-O-Honeys.

Everything is in reverse here in the UK. You get no candy, and if you buy a guitar with a whammy bar, they take it back and don't send it.
