Nice shot glass...
My gosh that pic is a thing of beauty, I want to make it my avatar!
I have been on the ferry from Helsinki to Talin a couple of times....the situation is ..how can I mildly put it...well ... interesting to say the least especially when the...duty free opens midsea
Stay strong my friend.
Yup, I know what it is worth.
I bought it in 1989 at a whiskey shop in Elgin, Scotland.
Very familiar with that site. I have had it bookmarked for some time now.
Thanks though! I haven't tried really hard to sell yet. I was giving my Scottish buddy first shot at it. I will be looking for a buyer seriously this summer.
I like to open the bottles with my hands, but if it works with drops of water, it is fine.
Easy on the booze when you're feeling down, my friend. It's not a good time to drink.
Rest a lot, exercise a good bit, eat well, work on good health... you'll feel better, then enjoy that wonderful Islay. (I love Islays, myself!)
Yum, I love the briney and the iodine, nice selection!
Alcohol will make it worse.
Anybody who has been drinking a bit too much on a regular basis know about that the anxiety, paranoia, and emotionnal rollercoasters. And the cold sweats.
edit that was a cool article by the way. Alcosynth sounds like it comes from a clockwork orange.
"Notes of iodine.." A fine Scotch strained through through bandages of Scottish war veterans....
I'm not a huge fan of Scotch, but I do love Balvenie 12. I tried the Laphoaig 10 ONCE. I honestly thought it was a bootleg bottle of booze that could quite possibly poison us all! True.
The peat dug out near the sea has salts from centuries of sea mist blowing in. Iodine is part of that along with bromine, etc. It's just the taste of the place where it's made.
This bottle got me intrigued....so I went to this site - https://www.thewhiskyvault.com/glenrothes-1956-gordon--macphail-connoisseurs-choice-20327-p.asp :
$1650 !!!!!!!!! I'd love to taste it !
Sorry to hear you are feeling bad, Laphroaig and Ardbeg are excellent choices though!
Exactly my thought!
Probably a latent thing exasperated by this worldwide thing that is going on. As George sang about, all things must pass ... Almost a law of the universe.
Scotch & Coke is a good way to get rid of whisky that isn't interesting enough on its own IMO.
I'm looking at you MacAllan 15... "Fine Oak" indeed.
If you got the cash, they can hook you up or I can.
To make things worse? Really? Do you HEAR yourself?
Man up, bro! Grow a pair and do the RIGHT thing!
Quitter's don't win - and winners don't quit!
