I've had one for about a year, use it daily and have charged it twice. Bought two more just to keep around.

Monoprice is back up, here's their link:

I have a lot of tuners and they’re all fine. The latest is the boss. It’s a bit clunky (it’s a large tuner) but it’s accurate and sturdy.

Thanks for all the feedback. I ordered the Monoprice because I like the USB charger. I was also able to avoid using Amazon and that's always satisfying :). I'm a battery-hater so they sold me on the USB charger. Anyway, I'll try to remember to update this thread with my impressions of it once I use it for a while.

FYI: you can get those little 2032 batteries on Ebay, name brand, dirt cheap. I just buy a dozen for a few bucks

I have Snarks but I wish they auto turned off. I'm buying a Monoprice; auto off and rechargeable!

I had to buy one for my garage door opener last weekend . . . only $9. Yeah, I live in California. The door opener fell apart when I tried to replace the battery.

I have three of the old Intellitouch clip-on tuners with hardshell cases. Old but rugged and still working great.

I think Monoprice is more worthy of avoiding .
    Hope you like your tuner

Snark is my rather worn out fav... works fine but the plastic is starting to break...

I buy lots of 3 buck tuners from CH for the kids guitar classes... and use them myself...

they all work fine.... probably all use the same chip.... it's not the price....

Yeah, I decided to roll the dice on the Monoprice. I like their design decisions so hopefully that carries over to their quality control.

I bought my first Intellitouch probably twenty years ago at a guitar show. Works like a champ. Seven or eight years ago, I dropped it and broke the clamp "arm" piece. I contacted the company, and they sent me the clamp "arm" free of charge. You just can't find better customer service than that.
I just wish they made a tiny "behind the headstock" version like the D'Addario Mini.

As long as I can't see it from the front, and it's accurate... whatever that one is.

I strongly dislike headstock tuners that hang off of the headstock, drives me nuts.....

I've got a tc Unitune, the cheaper version of the clip on polytune and a Daddario micro tuner that I keep loosing. I can't leave the mico tuner on my headstocks too long because the rubber mount messes with the tru oil finish so I put it down and constantly loose it because its so small and black.

Way back in 2007 on my way back home to Australia from the UK I stopped in a music shop in Singapore and bought an Intelli tuner and in 2019 its still giving service and only on its 2nd battery. I also have a Boss 12 tuner (like a small house brick) that still works fine. And somewhere in amongst my gear is a tuning fork that came with my first guitar in 1955.. S

I use a Korg Sledgehammer. The clip is nice and you can angle it anywhere.

Battery life (coin cell) could be better though and its quite large/long so obtrusive if on end or in front of headstock. Slow to pick up bass guitar notes but that is common.

It has a really nice moving faux strobe mode that I use and why I keep it.

It split tuning duties with a boss unit on the floor last night.

i might not buy one again though and look at other options here.

I bought this Korg tuner in the mid 80's. I used to have it stuck on a pedalboard. Still works as new. I just pulled it out and it's still powering up with a battery I cant remember installing.
I can remember that it used to be pretty accurate considering I used it on my acoustic via that tiny built in mic a lot of the time.

    Hi.

I have two clip on tuners. No idea what they are. The one I use came with my kids' wee Yamaha acoustic, and the other, I simply can't recall getting. No, wait, it came with my daughter's ukulele. Perhaps that technically means I don't own any?

Anyway, I use one of them and I think they are very practical and useful. But, I immediately take it off. Even at home. Visually I detest them, sorry. I just can't get past the look. It's like talking to someone who has snot hanging out one nostril.
