The Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz. "If I, were King, of the forrrrrreeeeeeessssssstttttttt!.
Nothing even approaches this vocal as measured by vibrations per second. It’s so extreme I’ve wondered if they used some effect on his voice but don’t think they had the means to do that in ‘39. Still it seems like a physical impossibility.

Never was much of a fan of the fast vibrato personally. Buffy being definitely in that vein. A well placed controlled vibe in certain places is great. It's definitely more difficult to sing one pure long note without vibrato than with.

Chrissie on "Kid" is almost more Chorus than Vibrato! I like it.

Grace Slicks vibrato sounds like helicopter blades. Love this clip, the day after Woodstock with guest appearance by the late David Crosby.

If I weren’t so lazy I’d look for Jim Carrey’s parody from The Cable Guy. But this thread was about fast vibratos, not nanny-goat vibratos

That's quite the mix. I need you to turn that guitar way down, and see if you can have one of the backing vocalist drown out the entire band. Sheese...
No kidding… Gotta file under WTF were they thinking…lol

My favorite kind of vocal vibrato is the kind that old school evangelist preachers use when they are singing, the type that is so wide that it disguises the fact that they simply cannot sing. If your vibrato goes a full step above and below the target pitch, you're gonna hit it every time!

Vedder. I was just listening to this and thinking how fast his vibrato is, even if not that pronounced.

Tracy Chapman, Fiona Apple are the singers that first came to mind.
