Amazing. You must be stoked
Finally!! It looks great!
Eye protection, Jup... just sayin’.
It came out so nice! Well worth the wait. Now take your time with the finishing touches. I bet it'll be a great instrument.
And just what is so wrong with looking tawdry and cheap Rick? You are going to offend the good folks of the Vilem Reputatis Local #36.
Thanks everybody! It sure is exciting to see it on the bench like this. Almost feels like a NGD.
I have several with matching headstocks, but didn't want it for this one cuz gibby.
Yeah, in a Vegas brothel kinda way...
I hope everybody understands that this build is going to continue to advance at about the same pace as always... I will be surprised if it's rocking before mid-February or so.
Do not underestimate what 500 bucks' worth of painting expertise and equipment can get ya!
See my reply to Rob's comment above. Miles to go still! Plenty of laughs in store I'm sure once that 4th knob shows up.
Super sweet, Jupiter. The long wait was really worth it. Now get it loaded up and cranking some serious jams. Maybe some Stray Cats?
honestly, I have no idea what kind of music this beast should play...
and I got nothing to wear with it!
Contempary jazz of course. You can join the house band at whatever Las Vegas strip club you end up at.
This outfit would work with the guitar just fine.
Still waiting on my last knob. Ordered a few other gizmos, including this boss switch, which i'm gonna use if the stewmac switch gives me ANY trouble at ALL going in.
I thought it would be pinker.......
not that I've seen any dog peckers lately to compare, though....
Gotta admit I though the same!
It looks fantastic!! Can't wait to hear it.
I keep looking at my dog for comparison, but she's female so....
Spectacular guitar. May you have as many years of enjoyment playing it as you had building it
After having installed several non-L switches in 335 type guitars, I suggest you use that switch and save yourself the headache. It's just nice to have the extra room, especially if you are using stiff wire... I'm sure a vugar pun could be twisted out of that but I'm at work and I don't have the time to hone it.
Any chance of a pic in better light? Or are we expected to wait for the final assembly for that?!
Very little chance until the weekend; I don't get home until dark, and those bench pics are in the most brightly-lit place in the house.
