Hey how did you get my inlaws pic, as far as I know she only curses me.
But seeing as I am not dead yet her curses don't work.

On the seriouse note, how long has this been a problem? can you turn off all the florecent lights? They can be very problematic, had one upstairs but tapped into the sat circuit as my amp once I replaced the ballist on the fixture problem went away.

Unplug your wireless router and see if it goes away.

Sounds like you've done a pretty thorough job of troubleshooting. Have you tried it in different rooms in your house? Just thinking of ways to pinpoint the source of your aggravation...

    UPDATE

Well, sometimes having my wife help me is actually a hindrance. The ticking noise was still driving me insane. So this past weekend my wife was gone so I decided to do the "turn off one breaker at a time" test. This time it was successful. The ticking stopped when I flipped off the "bathroom receptical" breaker. Ahh! The 60 cycle hum never sounded sweeter. I went and took one of those gadgets you plug in and it tells you the status of the circuit- wires crossed etc. I live in a modular which has the wiring connected in attic with clips. I'll have to check those out. Wish me luck-I'll need it.

Wireless computer mouse. In fact, wireless anything, including computers of any kind.

I had a wireless mouse doing this and it about drove me nuts trying to find it, as it was independent of the mains, etc. I've even had a battery powered travel clock cause trouble. A friend had an uninterruptible power supple (battery backup) cause noise.

Ah, I missed the post where you've isolated the noise to the bath, so this is an edit. It'll be interesting to hear what exactly is causing the racket.

If your mother-in-law ever told your wife she will have a child that's just like her, that curse always works.

Seriously, though, I'm curious to know what's going on in your bathroom that would cause some sort of electromagnetic interference everywhere in the house. You don't have any of those overpriced LED conversion lamp inserts anywhere, do you?

DING DING DING!!! WE HAVE A WINNER! Went downstairs turned amp on came back upstairs unplugged entire computer surge protector thingy and VIOLA! its gone. Should of unplugged all that from the start. Don't know why the computer/spare room is on bath circuit but it's gone. That's the main thing. So now I just turn breaker off as I'm going to basement. Thanks to those who gave ideas and prayed for my success.

I'm not surprised. Wireless and/or digital equipment of all kinds can cause multitudes of strange noises, especially clicks and odd buzzes. As I type this, I can bump my Logitech wireless mouse and hear a buzz coincident with the movement through a Vox amp which is running about four feet away.

Our high tech world is much more electrically noisy that that of even twenty years ago.

So nobody in the house can use the crapper while you're jamming?
