Constant metronome type ticking in deluxe reverb, blackstar stage 60 and 15 watt Marshall solid state. Happens with Tele, Strat, and. Charvel. Straight into amp with no pedals. Tried different cables.Had my wife turn off one breaker at a time but no change. Unplugged electric dog fence. Nothing. Could it be coming through electrical system from outside? Is there some type of filter that can be used between amp and wall plug? Come on gang. Help me!

You're not plugged in to some kind of power conditioner or surge arrester, are you?

    You wearing a watch?

Possibly the cuplrit as the movement can be sensed by the pickups... Just a thought.

Electric dog fence would do it. Any neighbors have one? About once a second?

Like DavidP mentioned, are you wearing a quartz chronograph wrist watch that's close to the pups when you play? Happened to me once…

Any battery charging device in the house can induce ticking. Do all your amps have a vibrato circuit? I've had tube vibrato amps, including DRs, that always quietly tick. If the ticking changes speed as you adjust the vibrato speed, that's it.

Yes, using surge protector but happens even when plugged directly into wall.

    No, no watch.

Yes, have pet fence but unplugged it and it still happens

I had taken my Blackstar back to the store where I bought it but it didn't happen there.

I had a Marshall that picked up Spanish radio, so I lined it with copper screen and the radio stopped.
This may not help, but the point is that signals can get in to an amp without any physical connection.
Any UFO landings near where you live?

I thought it was more of a "here I am, come get me" kind of thing.

Is your cell phone in your pocket or on your belt? I spent an hour once trying to figure out why my amp was making a weird noise and it was from my cell phone in a holster on my belt. I now put my phone in my back pocket that is farthest from the pickups....

    Ok, I tried everything.
Three guitars, three amps, different cords, same ticking.
    Unplugged dog fence
Had wife turn off one breaker at a time
    Cell phone off and upstairs
    No wristwatch
    Raised guitar to flourecent light
Brought hand dial clock next to guitar( clock ticking was there but it was 60/min other ticking about 75/min.

I took amp and guitar to in-laws house down the road about 1/4 mile then took setup to neighbors house across the street which is fed by same electric pole and there was no ticking.

I guess a call to electric company is next.

    A fluorescent can do it.
Is your electrical power meter one of the modern ones that sends the consumption info to the power company?

Could it be a simple curse? Did you offend any old gypsy ladies lately?

Any fans on in the house? They can cause some weird things.
