Apologies, I'm probably being dumb, but I searched to no avail - I am sure there was a thread in which folk were putting photos and descriptions of their Teles after being customised in some way.. anyone got a link to that thread or know where it is? Or am I getting mixed up completely? Cheers!

    Oops, my dyslexia kicked in.
I thought it said "Compromised Teles." Plenty of pictures of those.
Now I'm suffering from COPD (Chronic Obnoxious Personality Disorder).

Mine (link below) has a one-off custom bender from the dude himself, Gene Parsons.

Some threads die a hard death and come back zombie. But you got one started now anyway.

    I'll play.

This is my 2011 CV 50 Tele I turned into an Esquire. I had gotten a wiring harness for another Tele that has since been turned back into a regular vintage style guitar. I didn't not want to use the harness so I thought I'd stick it in the CV and see what happens.

And wow, the stock pickup really showed it's stuff. It was a very spankin pup as a bridge pickup but with the wiring it showed some different sides. 1st position was almost as jangly as the other Teles but the 3rd position is just honkin. Way more clarity than the other pup and outstanding with some OD or Dist. It can cover HB style stuff with ease.

Other mods are the reverse switch plate and the required pickguard.
Never been a fan of white finishes so while I had it apart I rattle canned it pretty good.
    Now it's chartreuse.
    The rest is stock.

Not your typical mod but fun anyway. Maybe not what the op was looking for but...he started this. :D

Not sure if all of these qualify as mods but here goes.

Dude, That's insane! You better be able to rip some leads if you show up that flame thrower on your shoulder.

This is exactly the kind of thing I am looking for, thanks!! Real interesting that it made such a difference to the pickup in the same position.. food for thought right there.. I think that looks great btw!
