Thoughts on the Squier paranormal Cabronita thinline?

Does anyone own one of these or have any experience of playing them?

Following back problems i need to get a light guitar, want something decent and these get good reviews. As I'm a fair distance from any large music shops any input would be gratefully received.

Are they very lightweight, as some reviewers suggest? Do they have a typical really slim Squier neck? I do have a bullet tele and while that's fairly slim it's manageable, but any smaller than that would be challenging.

Lastly, what are the pickups? Some say they're jazzmasters, some say they are more like p90s, and it's hard to get a definitive answer. I've never played JMs but p90s work well for me.

I had one. I didn't weigh it but when I picked it up the first thing I thought was "this thing is really light, I mean really light". The guy I traded with picked it up and said "man, this thing is light". As far as the neck goes, other than the tint, it was exactly the same as the neck on my CV 50's tele which to me feels a tad shallower than my bullet tele.

The reason I traded it was because it was very bright and I couldn't figure out a way to settle it down. I traded it for an Epiphone 335pro.

CV Thinlines are very light; a little too light for me, honestly, but perhaps perfect for some. My only issue with the Cabronitas is the lack of a tone control on most. Idk if that applies in this case.
I'm sure that it will have that skinny CV neck, if that's an issue.

My thought is that I’d really like to have one. I too have heard that the PUs aren’t built like JM ones, but that wouldn’t stop me if the PU routes are the same; easy to pop some real ones in there if I don’t like what they come with.

I've got one and yes, it's super light.

The pickups look like Jazzmaster pickups but they have screw slugs like a P90. I've ordered some Fender Pure Vintage Jazzmaster pickups for it. When they arrive, I'll pull the stock ones out and report back on what they look like "under the hood."

My lightest electric is a fully hollow Epiphone Casino, with P90s. It’s considerably lighter than a semihollow 335, because there’s no center block. There’s a lot of demand for Casinos at the moment because Lennon plays one prominently in Get Back, but I assume the market will settle down.

I really like my Squier PCT Tele - incredibly good value for money even in the UK, pretty near faultless construction and setup, and I like the sound, altho I'm not sure quite whether the pickups sound like JMs or P90s. I bought this guitar because I have severe arthritis and need as light a guitar as I can reasonably afford, and as it only weighs six and a half pounds it is absolutely ideal. I also need a comfortable neck (arthritic hands) and the modern C profile works well for me. I also had to buy mine without trying it first.
A slight long-shot - I've recently bought a Gretsch G2655T FBL Streamliner P90 - great sounding P90 style pickups and my mine weighs just over 6lbs (and that is with a Bigsby included!) - it's a fantastic guitar.

Well done, they're really good. I'm still impressed with mine and it's about 6lb. Good for my knackered back
