I have my eye on a demo for $360. I've always been a fan of the JC cleans and chorus. It looks like a nice little home amp. Has anyone tried one or does anyone own one?

Any info would be great. Trying to make a decision. Thanks!

I had one and really liked it. Its loud, and a lot fuller sounding than you'd expect from 6.5 inch speakers. I ended up liking my JC40 better so I sold the 22.

Great amp!....ends up being a very expensive practice amp, go to the JC40 it has a distortion knob also. The JC Chorus and clean is unbeatable, but the JC series doesn't tend to play well with OD pedals (that is my experience)(specifically, the sustain cleans up to soon) ......I'm a bigger fan of the Tube Logic amps...Blues Cube or Nextone......$360 and you like clean and chorus.....GO for it!!!!!!!...they are NICE!

I've got one and started a thread about it a little while ago.

I still love it.
I'm not gigging anymore so I can't tell you how it is in a live setting, but I did use it at a couple of low volume band practices and it was great. The others agreed...said it was the best amp they'd ever heard.

It certainly is the best plug-in-and-play living room amp I've ever had.

Cool. It's only for home use. I don't gig anymore. I have a nice little 5W tube amp with amazing dirty tones, but seriously lacks the cleans I'm looking for. Totally don't need the 40 for my use and it's more money I don't need to spend. Is $360 used for the 22 a decent price? It's the lowest I could find.

$369 is a good in-store demo pice. I’m not sure for used. I got my used 40 for $400 of CL

Altomusic. $449 new. 15% off $382 with no tax and free shipping. I love mine. I sit it on my desk next to my computer and route the outputs to my stereo interface.

Got it! Love it! It’s my perfect clean amp! So psyched. Got it for $360 cash out the door. They listed a mint demo, but gave me a brand new in the box for the same price. Couldn’t be happier. Always wanted a JC of some sort.

I have a 1986 JC55, a fantastic classic amp. Roland are pretty good in recreating all the goodness of original designs, so I would be confident the JC 22 will also be a killer amp. Loud enough for solo or duo and if you have a half decent drummer that doesn't bash the crap, or you could line out or mic it up.
I doubt you would be disappointed.

The JC has always been my desired clean tone. Never actually owned one but have played many over the years, and this amp is true to form.
The digital reverb is surprisingly good and the chorus is wonderful as to be expected in a JC.
I don't gig any longer, so this amp is perfect for me. At $360 new I could not be happier.

I’d be preaching to The Choir.
Hearty Congratulations!!!
Roland is far ahead of the pack IMHO.

The 22 is actually a 30 Watter if my memory is turned on today. It’s more than plenty for anywhere that has a P.A. System, look what Neil Young can do with his rig, and he’s been doing it since at least supper last night, I think.

You can conquer the world with an SM-57, and in the case
of the Jazz Chorus just line out the rig, done.

So many nice features. I totally forgot there was an effects loop. What a bonus.
