I've never had one and never will . Fake BBQ is an abomination. My wife and I have had this conversation many times at chain restaurants like Chilis. Wife "How do you think the ribs would be? " Me "Did you smell smoke when we came in?" Wife "No" Me " They will be awful"

I am a barbecue snob. I grew up in Kansas City, will go on and on ad nauseum to people who don't want to hear it that hickory is the only legitimate hardwood for flavoring BBQ correctly, and won't go into a BBQ joint that doesn't smell like a brush fire from 100 yards away. I know that cuisine, what it is supposed to taste like, and when it misses the mark.

If you put two Mc Ribs in front of me right now, I'll take them down like they owe me money. We all have our weaknesses, and compromises in our integrity.

Hell yeah!! I'm a southerner by God and I know my ribs!
I mostly love the molded bones.

I don't understand why the McRib is a big deal. It's about on the level of Spam.

I avoid McFood unless I’m on a road trip. Nothing at McDonalds tastes like the thing that it apes, but full credit for always tasting the same. Having said that, if I was on a road trip and the McRib was on the menu, I’d shove that sugar sauced, high pressure molded slab of pork flavored animal byproducts right into my gob and get right back to the interstate.

I guess it's appealing to people who have never tasted food? Especially barbecue? I dunno.

McDonald's has very good fries when you get them hot and fresh. And a sausage egg biscuit sandwich works once or twice a year when eating breakfast on the move. That's about all I can say.

It's a delightful concoction of unknown ingredients blended together to form sort of a rib like dab that could from say twenty feet away be considered something resembling small ribs (out of something). The amazing thing is, they taste wonderful. At least if you have no idea what you're eating, it's good to have it taste good.

    Oh great!
Now I have to eat one to remember what they’re like.
    I’ll suffer through it.;)

The thing is, it's really not much of a gamble. There's nothing like a real bone in there, the meat is so pasty there's no gristle. The only thing that might be hurt in ordering one is your pride since someone might recognize you in the drive through. If they are there though, they're probably ordering the same thing, and they'll act like they didn't see you, and hope that you didn't see them.

Times like this make me grateful for celiac diease that removes any unhealthy curiosity about what unspeakable horror may reside between those buns.

I have not had one in years even though they reappear regularly in TX. If I recall they always tasted like compressed sawdust in a rather slimy sauce.

Awful. Fatty slab of fake meat with crappy BBQ sauce.

I don't know if you're serious, but the comment about "molded bones" hit me really hard....

I am starting to remember why I have not been to a fast food restaurant in a very long time. There are none in our county and none within 90 miles. I thought that was the reason, until I read some of these posts.

They're never going to be as good as they were when they were called The McRib Party Time Experience Party, but I think we should wait for their new album before we dismiss them completely.

I haven't had one in at least a decade. Normally I'd pass, but after about 10 months of bean ration due to limited grocery store visits, I'd take two.

I'm sure I'd like them, because they're something different. I'd probably also get "ill" afterwards, but I think it'd be worth it this time. Not any other time, but this time, yes.

Mc uh uh...but my favorite is two
    Big Mack’s and Budweiser Tallis..
Each double decked, sweet special sauced mouth full, gets washed down with an effervescent, palette cleansing wash of ice cold Brew...repeat till both Mack’s are gone and ya should be on your third beer...

Ca Ca Ca Ca YA BABY!!
