Curious to see if he will come to NAMM this year!

Street price on the American made production is right around 2500 and the Mexican built is coming in right under 1k. Mum is the word on the price of the Custom Shops.....

Someone should explain to them that Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page are not the same guy.

I vote hate it. Ugly guitar, IMHO.

I'll bet the custom shop editions will be 15 to 20 grand. And they will be sold before the end of NAMM.

    I like it.

I wouldn't own it because it's an obvious allusion to someone who's not me, and I'm just not into that.

    But I like it.

Probably couldn't afford it either way.

Yeah, I can see a big fan of Jimmy Page wanting it for various reasons.
This Jimmy Page fan does not want it for various reasons (including the fact he clearly didn't make his living off of painting depictions of dragons).

Brad the Guitologist made a really big deal about it being "a money grab". Maybe Page needs the extra cash for the 14 year olds he has locked in his basement?

All seriousness aside, I think I'd rather have one of these than one of the sig LP's, even if I did have 50k for one of those.

Is a 'sig LP' a double sig guitar? You know, Page and Les Paul?

I've never seen the LP as a sig guitar, but have heard others say so.

    Just a thought.

And oh yeah--no on the tele.

I have never had any interest at all in having a guitar that looks just like any other person's guitar, no matter who it is. I am not them, they are not me.

Not a fan of models that copy the special designs of famous players. I can appreciate what a guitarist has done for the design of their instrument, but I wouldn't want a copy of one. And as artwork on guitars go, Clapton's Cream era SG was (IMO) a lot cooler looking.

Other than the paint job, what makes it unique?

Underwhelming vid - let's presume a few things about the audience demographic for a limited production, custom/master-built guitar.
Let's presume a modicum of historical understanding for a Jimmy Page fan with a few extra dollars and not make that extended detour into Clapton, other than perhaps noting the Yardbirds' line-up changes w/ Topham, Clapton, Beck, Page, Dreja in and out dates (heck, I had to hit wiki just now).
The Beavis-tone nonsense about trading women for guitars is not currently palatable; something even Gillette has figured out.

    Yes, underwhelmed. You?

IMO, it's ridiculous. The original is a cheesy paint job -- no big deal, probably a whim, for fun -- that has zero worth beyond fanboy delusion. There is zero value added to this product. But let's worship it like some mystic idol.
