Thoughts on the early 90s deluxe plus teles

Looking at picking up one of these with the lace sensors 1 single , 1 humbucker. Not a ton of information on these. Anyone own one or have any insight?

Kill Switch... By the way... something discovered by accident when ordering some cables is the way to have a Kill Switch radio head style without having to install it or take the 3way bridge splitter out. The Planet Waves Circuit Breaker Cable has a spring loaded Kill Switch Button on it for...

You really do not see them for sale very often. Either they didn't sell many or (more likely) owners love them too much to sell.

I have a '90's Strat-Plus and even though I fell out of love for Strats, I would never sell it....it is that good of a player. Contrary to typical internet noise, I like the lace sensor pickups a great deal.

I kept an eye out for a tele plus, but just never came across one close enough to play. My guess is that you would be getting a great guitar....if you can find one. They were the best instruments Fender built short of the Custom Shop in that era, so you are getting their best.

I’m hoping i feel that way about this one I’m picking up, I’ve never had lace sensor pick ups so I’m curious to see what they're like. Cool to see the little cult following and the musicians who used them.

I would describe the Lace Sensors as a compressed, almost post mixing tone...a smooth predictable tone. Some hate that, but if you enjoy a polished sound, you will be very happy. If you hate compression, you may not.

I've had 2 of the v1 tele plus guitars. One was the regular tele plus and one was the v1 deluxe tele plus with the trem.

Any of the fender plus guitars I've had, had outstanding necks and were over all, exceptional guitars.

The Lace sensor pickups are definitely their own thing. Not the first thing I'd grab if I'm going to a session, but if playing live, my Plus Deluxe Strat is on the short list of things I will take.

Only reason I sold my Tele Plus guitars was other guitar players begging and hounding.

I am currently on the hunt for a V2 Tele Plus in Mystic Black( love the V2 bound guitars)

My first electric guitar was the Strat Ultra, with the blue, gray, & dual-red pickups in the bridge. I liked it very much, although I did swap the pickups for a set of gold Lace Sensors.

If I didn’t have to sell it because of a period of extended unemployment I would probably still have it.
