Among all the 42 AWG bridge pickups u have used, what would you say the 43 AWG pretzel sounds, feels and reacts most closely to?

Since first getting a Telecaster, over twenty years ago, I never cared much for the sound of a Tele bridge p/up by itself.....I almost always played the bridge/neck position. I can't guess how many different bridge p/ups I tried, with much the same results......that is, until I tried a Bootstraps Pretzel set. I was more impressed with the Palo Duro NECK, but the Pretzel bridge knocked my socks off. I'm a huge fan of P-90's, and the Pretzel bridge was (is) more like a P-90 than anything else I've tried. I now play about 50% of the time on bridge only, and I'm VERY pleased with my sound.

How well does it clean up with a overdrive tone when rolling the volume down to 3-5? (i use treble bleed) Does it get chimey or stay a bit dark or dull ?
