Exactly! Back in The Day, venting about such things meant telling it to your dog.

Just remember Frodebro that at 43 you are closer to 60 than you are to 16 and that life's snowball just keeps rolling faster and faster.

It's not about "getting old", it's about letting yourself become old. ;)

There are plenty of people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s who have no problem getting around in a modern, technological world.

Likewise, there are plenty of younger people that run away from technology screaming.

I guess the real issue for me is when people take one glance at something and instantly dismiss it out-of-hand without making any effort to understand it at all, then proceed to complain about it.

As one of the great grey horde, I must admit that I must remind myself that my opinions are just my opinions, but as the big "D" comes ah creeping. I forget to remember what I had to remind myself of before I forgot.

As senior bicycle rider, if your in a car , where is the bumper sticker that reads kiss my exhaust pipe.
The revenge of the old and wretched on the smarty pants kids is after we die, you'll be left in the world we destroyed and left you with. Complain all you you will and poke fun at the great greying horde a lot of what you say is sooooo true and I found your post as accurate as it is acidic.
A very funny and amusing post, is one I'll pick the tab up on any day.

You've turned your mind off to a lot of things before your brain chemistry forces you to.

Rant. I got this today from Ebay. I think I got screwed. I thought it was a Teac reel to reel. Should I leave negative feedback? How do you do that? Maybe I should get some new glasses. Tri-focals?

When that happened at our house I tugged on my Dad's leg and said "Dad, what's granny wearing?"
Dad said, "I don't know son, but it sure needs ironing".

Yes, and I think there will be a nationwide database of places where you can still actually buy blank videocassettes.

Please understand. It's not about "letting yourself". There are awesome external forces at work here.. You might not have encountered them yet but someday....

My grandfather didn't start getting old until he was about 85. It has nothing to do with physical age and everything to do with self-imposed limitations.

I want to make a complaint about complainers of people who complain about these complaints.
