fender just delivered this to me a few weeks back. it’s beyond words.
•22 frets w/ butt end trussrod adjustment
    •12” radius
    •6100s
•push/pull tone control brings bridge pickup in w/ 5 way setting
•staggered tuners eliminate need for string tree
•michael stevens reverse slant bridge pickup and reverse control plate

Wow! Is this a Masterbuilt? Or some other custom ordered model? Too many little variances to be anything but....

Outstanding! I love when someone does a custom order to their specs. We have enough of reproductions of specific years guitars! My master built is similar in some ways.

i basically wanted a shred capable big neck bg that would cover all hardtail strat timbral territory. fcs killed it.

the team built ala carte menu is so incredibly expansive that, (for me) outside of a scalloped board and specific weight limitation, an extraordinary instrument is easily spec’d and realized. fcs’s fretwork is incredible these days, as well.

the guitars that fcs is producing today are the finest instruments that fender has ever produced, as regards design, materials, hardware, construction, fit and finish.

Wow that's pretty and pretty close to perfect!
I'd need to get rid of those two extra pickups, but that's just me...

Did you play reverse slant bridge pickups before ordering this build?
I've mounted the same pickup in the same guitar, reverse slant and no slant, looking to tame the strident high E a bit and to get overall better balance between the strings.
For me the reverse slant made the high E too dulled and the bass lost some fullness, but I also keep the pickup pretty tilted further from the low E to keep the bass clean.

I could certainly see liking whatever suits us best, but how do you find the mellower tone of the high E string?
Is it what you hoped for?
I'd buy a Glendale Strate Plate but my habit is to go to the drill press for $100 parts that are that simple.
I'll probably swing for one soon though, just because it looks nicer than the typically aluminum parts I make.

Anyhow, gorgeous guitar and what a neck!
I wish more production Fenders featured huge necks with huge frets!
Flame would be nice as well but two outta three aint bad...

i got my first reverse slant bridge pickup strat from my longtime compadre, michael stevens, in the early “90s and never looked back. he built a pair of reverse headstock bridge pickup, left handed bridge “56 spec strats at the fcs for a client. when one came available, he hooked me up w/ the seller.

    .

    Fantastic build.

I put a reverse slant pickguard in my Strat and it's definitely improved the guitar so I'll expect you'll find a lot of great tones.

So much flame in that neck.
