I don't see a chorus anywhere on that board. You're going to have to step your pedal game up to get permabanned!

Acoustic Simulator is not all bad.
I have a patch in my Zoom Stomp modeler that I set up so I can use a Tele as a backup for my acoustic. I ended up using it on on electric gigs to add a subtle tone change from my standard clean sound.

The RV-6 has a Modulated mode. Oops...now I've done it!

Acoustic Simulators have less in common with the sound of a real acoustic than Beyond Beef has in common with a real hamburger.

Nah....It's all good. Although I'd be interested to know what kind of music you're playing. That's a less than typical selection of pedals.

Now if there was a Whammy pedal or one of those crappy envelope filter things from the 70's on there I'd consider flagging you for removal, but that's just me.

Oddly enough, at church we play southern/country gospel and traditional hymns. My tone/style is in the classic country/rockabilly/blues camp.

I was going to mention this to @RetroTeleRod but I thought given his last choice he might be unstable and bringing up the missing rat would push him over the edge...

    Very brave sir....very brave....

In my (very weak) defense, I'm hoping that the Acoustic Simulator will allow me to use my Martin with my Hot Rod Deluxe. I'm thinking that with a bit of compression and reverb it might sound decent. The Martin straight into the HRD is not that great. The Acoustic Simulator will be easy enough to remove if it doesn't cut it. I know you are a generous and kind hearted bunch and I'm sure you will be able to forgive me... eventually.

To save face, I think you need to go back to your surf green theme, then the compressor still fits, but the acoustic simulator would get purged without admitting ... umm ... err ... temporary insanity. Yup, that's it, a free pass, but you only get one.

If the Metal Zone shows up at all, then we know you have been lost. Banning at that point would be moot.

Another JD-9 Fan here. I use it with an MXR CMBAOD.

Does the Martin have any sort of preamp in it? I would try that before the AS, but as they say YMMV.

Go forth and sin no more, my Son!

There was this really crazy Jerry Springer episode about,,,
Acoustic Simulator Pedals and the Men that Love Them, it was pretty good till the Compressor Crowd chimed in!! Then the pedals started flying, had to change the channel before one came flying out of my TV screen:eek:

It's a passive pickup. I'm thinking that just the compressor and the RV-6 might be all I need. On the plus side, if the Acoustic Simulator doesn't cut it...I can always get another dirt pedal on there! Maybe it's time for a Nano Muff. ;)

The anti-compressor nonsense is long past. Compression is used all the time, for good reason -- particularly for guitar. Sure, they can sound freaking awful when misused, but so does a DS1 with the tone dimed.

Wait. I HAVE been away from this board for awhile. 6-7 years ago, people assumed that you had a compressor. People walking down the street would smile and greet each other, saying "howdy, what kind of compressor are you using today?" Those were the times.

I suppose I have to adapt. Heck, my own compressor is just a moderately dirty amp with a rolled-back volume knob. I guess I was ahead of the time. No compressor before it was cool. I bet the acoustic sim is the next retro-pedal rage. Heck, I bet it's the acoustic sim INTO a Metal Zone.

And so I join the mob. BURN THE WITCH!!!

Ok ok, so maybe you don’t get permabanned.... That don’t mean you ain’t gonna get “Permaband” ( a fate worse than “Rick Rolled”)

Take one of these, 3 times a day, for a week. You should be fine.
Oh, and drink plenty of water & avoid spicy food.
