I know that many of you are highly disappointed that I put a compressor on my board, and because of that I know I'm on thin ice already. But it gets worse. Out of morbid curiosity I've also decided to give the infamous Acoustic Simulator another try. Am I permabanned?

I have both. With the acoustic sim make sure you always use the pa out jack.

    Nice board!

Scratch the first tip. It’s an ac 1. Still a great pedal

I've tried several acoustic simulator pedals, and all I can say is I would never own an acoustic guitar that sounds anything like and electric through one of those pedals. I get a more convincing acoustic tone with a strat, neck position, volume slightly rolled back, through a clean amp with a touch of reverb.

Brah, I had your back with the compressor but you just can’t do this.

    Just. Don’t.

    Not the acoustic simulator.

    What’s next? A talk box?!!!!!?!

C’m’on. Just tell us it was a joke. Please? :)

Ps: is that a JD9? I think it’s an unsung hero. Big fan.

See your Compressor and Acoustic Simulator and raise you. Compressor - Acoustic Simulator - Pitch Shifter with the pitch shifter level on halfway.
    Almost a 12 string acoustic sound.:D

Pack your things. Be out before the next sun rise. Do not look over your shoulder or you will turn into a pillar of salt!

Then when that doesn't happen, reply to the next NPD or NGD or NAD thread.

Haha... I say use the compressor as much as it pleases you! Ignore the naysayers. Compressors can be awesome tone modifiers. :D

You have my full support!

Yes it's a Jet Driver. Works great with my Hot Rod Deluxe! They never seemed to make that much of a splash when they came out, but a higher gain, true bypass Screamer with a mid control...what's not to love?

Well I have noticed a funny rotten egg smell in the house lately, and the propane tank is almost empty again... could there be some sort of connection? I'll think about it later, right now I'm feeling a little drowsy.

If you play live, the foh and the audience will appreciate your compressor. Clearly, if you are a master player with a band of other master players who can dial in any volume they want and that is able to make room for each other and the vox, all just using playing dynamics, you can ditch your compressor or ise it as an effect or tone modifier.

If I post a couple of pics of myself in cargo shorts, tasteful of course, do you suppose I might be able to stay?

...the compressor, hey, that's all just in good fun, no harm, no foul. But acoustic simulator? Acoustic. simulator.

Off your meds? Or are you just trolling us? Troll war? Is that it? Do i need to break out my Arion Tubulator?

I'm a little disturbed that you don't have 4 overdrives on your board??? What! You think you're better than us? You were raised in a room with walls of Marshall amps? Compressor is the least of your worries...

Not banned......but we do expect you to "self deport".
Just kidding.....as a long time player who is just terrible with most pedals, I envy someone who can use them and get a good sound.....so add the talk-box, the E9 Organ pedal, the compressor, and whatever else that gets you where you want to go.
I can't hear 'em in my house, anyway. ;)
