In my experience, a fuzz pedal will take care of that problem quickly.

It's just rubbing its scent on the guitar, to claim ownership.

We had a black cat that alway showed up if I played in the afternoon. The sunlight would hit the bridge plate and reflect around the room. It was a great cat toy

Yep. This guy loves music, especially amplified guitar stuff. Loves guitars. He's a nut.

My dog doesn’t bother me in the morning or afternoon if I play. In the evening after about 20 minutes he stands in front of me and barks as if to say “enough already “.

Jeez I didn't even know cats liked deviled eggs.
Mine curls up on her bed in my room most evenings as I practice/play. Grateful she's never tried to walk on my guitar, she's a bit of a bruiser at 120+ lbs.

Exactly , I turn the amps towards the wall when I’m not using them . My everyday amp is mounted on a slide in a cabinet. When it’s not used it’s pushed inside and the doors closed
My hi fi speakers are placed high enough that cats aren’t interested
    Cat claws are wicked
