I started out with Fender celluloid a long time ago and stuck with them until Ultex came along. I like the 1.14mm. But lately, I’ve also been liking the purple Tortex.

Mrs. Steerforth likes nylon jazz picks when she plays her mandolin or acoustic guitar. They feel very weird to me. I fear that madame might be cray cray.

I've always used Dunlop Tortex. Since I've been back playing, I started with something heavy, then went to green .88s then yellow .73s. Lately I've been playing electric more with my .50 I use on acoustic. I may pick up some .60s and split the difference.

Remember when you used to break a pick? It would get all hung up on the strings and it was the last one usually. I hated that...

I could only go a tad bit lighter than a 1.55mm or it sounds like I'm using super slinky 8 gauge strings picking with a broom straw, maybe why I use my thumb so much

My favorite V-pick is the Chicken Pick.

[IMG]I remember using these, back in the 1960s.

This isn't the actual size, but when I tried to use an old one I found in a case years later, it sure seemed like it.

I only use thumb picks, I like these, they are the best thumb picks ever

Although out of a pack of 12 only about 3 are really good

They don’t have those giant “fins/paddles” that most thumb picks have I hate those
