Cool. Thanks. My ears came to a tied conclusion and I did hear what was CV and what was “expensive”. For my $ and time it is not worth changing out the CV tele stock pick ups. I heard less than a 5% difference, which to my ear is a slight tweak on a tone knob difference. The difference I heard was not “better”, just different. The Stock pickups sounded just a wee hair thinner and not in an inferior way. I've had two 2nd hand cv 50's each bought to experiment with tweaks. I left them both as is as they were just fine. I was thinking of “esquiring” one of them. But if it ain't broke don't fix it! I sold them to some younger folks wanting budget priced good teles. Thanks again for bringing attention to this experiment. You'll save some folks a couple of bucks.

I’ve said this frequently but YouTube is a terrible way to evaluate an amp, pickups, guitars.
A lot is either masked or enhanced by the process, quality of computer speakers, compression, etc.
